Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Angela Giron grew up on the periphery of the now defunct barrio then known as Golden Gate across the ditch and the tracks on 24th Street and Buchanan. Since then she has resided, worked and travelled all over the globe. Having lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal, Quebec; Chearsley, England; Paris, France; and traveled much of Europe, Southeast Asia, the near Arctic on Inuit Reserves, and a bit of Central and South America, her journey as one among the first group of 16 who were granted Tourist Visas (following the Fall of Saigon) in 1986 has proven to be the journey that has left a unique and indelible mark.
Currently, Ms. Giron is the Director of the Masters of Liberal Studies program at Arizona State University where she has also designed and created numerous courses; including The 60s – Decade of Turmoil.
